Tempopo is a contemplative puzzle game of planning and execution. Guide your Tempopo to rescue musical flowers across imaginative sky islands and arrange them in your own melodic garden. Take your time placing instructions and watch the harmonious or hilarious results of your decisions.
Hana’s garden of musical flowers have been scattered across the sky and only the magical Tempopo with their unique abilities can rescue them. Mischievous and uncoordinated by nature, the Tempopo rely on Hana’s conducting skills to work together and solve each island’s puzzle.
Each island begins with a planning phase in which you lay down instructions for the Tempopo to follow when you start the music. Use your wits or trial and error to find the perfect configuration, solving puzzles with inventive solutions involving multiple Tempopo performing different roles.
Tempopo started out while Sanatana was visiting his indie developer friend Seiji, in Japan, as they wanted to explore ways to transform the classic character puzzle games they adored into more accessible and interesting 3D spaces. From there, Jeff van Dyck’s guiding hand grew all of those stems around a relaxing melodic heartbeat, creating an experience that is much more than the sum of its parts.
